Welker’s Family concluded his injury to be serious

The family has been so upset on the knee injury that Wes Welker acquired in the game against Houston Texans. Leland Welker , Wes’ dad told Adam Kilgore of the Boston Globe. "We’re absolutely sick. We take all those hits and stuff all season long. And then just one fluke cut, and he just blows it out." A complete diagnosis can’t be made until Welker has an MRI — Welker’s dad seems to have concluded what just about everyone watching the game concluded: Welker’s injury is serious, and he won’t be on the field in the playoffs. "He was really upset," Leeland Welker said. "He didn’t feel like talking about it too much. . . . This is the worst we’ve ever encountered."
The New England Patriot’s coach, Bill Belichick, has not issued a conclusive statement regarding the severity of Wes Welker’s knee injury. He left on a cart with a towel over his head, which is usually an indication from the player that they know the injury to be serious.
