Pope knocked down...Obamas in Hawaii...Storm shuts down roads, airports

VATICAN CITY (AP) — A woman the Vatican describes as "unstable" caused the pope to fall to the floor in St. Peter's Basilica. It happened as he was heading down the main aisle to begin the Christmas Eve Mass. Video shot by a witness shows Benedict seeming to fall on the woman after she grabbed his vestments. He got up quickly and appeared to be uninjured.
HONOLULU (AP) — The first family has arrived in Hawaii for a holiday vacation in the state where the president was born. The Obamas will celebrate the holidays in private at a rented compound in the town of Kailua (ky-LOO'-uh). The president left Washington just after the Senate approved health care reform legislation.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A New Jersey man who won a custody battle against his son's Brazilian stepfather is back in the U.S. with the boy. David Goldman and his 9-year-old son Sean are in Orlando, Fla. The stepfather had cared for the boy since his mother died last year. She took the boy to Brazil during a 2004 vacation.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Three airports -- in Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas -- have been closed because of the big winter storm that is gripping the nation's midsection. And blizzard warnings have been issued in parts of 10 states. Slippery roads are blamed for at least 14 deaths.
TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) — Coast Guard crews have been searching for two men whose fishing boat was hit by a large wave and sank off New Jersey's southern coast. A surviving crew member was found in a life raft shortly after officials received a distress signal tonight.
