The famous Singer C Ashwath passed away today morning after few days illness. His age was 70 years and served the Kannada Sugam Sangeetha. He was admitted to Columbia Asia Hospital Yashwanthpur, Bangalore following severe stomach ache.
C. Ashwath is most popular for his Theatre, Sugam Sangeetha and Films in Karnataka. He has directed music in many films.
Born on : 29 december 1939
He graduated in Science from Bangalore University. He worked in Indian Telephone Industries for 27 years before retiring as an Executive Engineer in 1992. He started his musical career as a disciple of Devagiri Shankararao Joshi in Hindustani Music.
